UNICA Union Internationale du Cinéma

Imagine a worldwide club for amateur film makers, bringing people together through their shared love of films and film making. UNICA exists to promote international co-operation and understanding and is a member of UNESCO’s film wing, IFTC.

The members of UNICA are not individuals. They are the national organisations of amateur film makers – including the IAC.

UNICA promotes non-commercial film-making through an annual festival, hosted by one of the member countries. At the festival, each national organisation presents a programme of films. An international jury comments on the films and awards medals. At the heart of the festival is the chance to meet and share experiences with film makers from around the world.
